BACKGROUND
OF THE BAJORIA GROUP
The Bajoria Group is a
large industrial group in the State of West Bengal, India and
has interests in various business fields. The primary business
of our group is the manufacture and export of Jute bags and cloth.
Our parent body 'M/s The Hooghly Mills Company Limited', is a
leading export house of India and one of the largest Jute manufacturing
conglomerates in the world. The group is also an associate of
M/s Konega International Pvt. Ltd., a highly reputed and leading
export house of India and one of the foremost players in the global
garment arena, who have their factories in Bombay, Bangalore,
Jaipur and Calcutta.
The group in total had an annual turnover at the year ended 31st
March 2001 of approx. US$ 165 million. The turnover expected in
the current year is approx. US$ 185 million. This includes all
the trade practices of the group like Jute, Real Estate, Manufacturing,
Garment Exports and International Trade etc.
